Aston Villa have expressed an interest in West Ham United striker Enner Valencia according to a report.

[Simon Jones for the Mail Online](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3755974/Transfer-news-LIVE-Arsenal-Chelsea-Manchester-City-updates-plus-latest-Europe.html) reports that the Midlands side have expressed their interest in taking the Ecuadorian international to Villa Park.

Valencia moved to the Hammers in 2014 after a successful World Cup for Ecuador but he has struggled for consistent game time with injuries being a contributing factor.

It has been reported previously by the [Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3674864/West-Ham-holding-12m-Enner-Valencia-Lazio-enter-loan-offer-striker.html) that the London side would be looking for around £12 million for the forward.

Last season he scored four times in 19 appearances. West Ham currently have a bit of an injury crisis up top with Andy Carroll and Andre Ayew both out injured already.
