Aston Villa could be without four players as they make the trip to Portman Road to face Ipswich Town this weekend.
Defender Ritchie de Laet will definitely miss the game whilst midfielder Jack Grealish and striker Ross McCormack are doubts after the trio were all taken off during the 1-1 draw with Brentford in midweek.
Meanwhile, Aaron Tshibola could also miss the game after sitting out of Wednesday night’s tie with a groin problem.
Roberto Di Matteo has confirmed that De Laet will be out for an extended period as he’s going to require surgery on his injured knee, but both Grealish and McCormack are both touch-and-go.
Di Matteo said that McCormack will be assessed but is a doubt, whilst he will wait and see how Grealish reacts during and after today’s training session before making a decision on his inclusion.
In more positive news, Albert Adomah could make his Villa debut after his deadline day switch from Middlesbrough.
