Aston Villa are, once again, on the hunt for a new manager after the club took the decision to sack Roberto Di Matteo just 124 days after appointing him.
Di Matteo has a history of getting a Midlands-based team promoted to the Premier League but with just one win in 11 league games, Villa have decided that they need a new man in charge.
Whoever they hire will become the club’s seventh permanent manager since Martin O’Neill left in 2010, with Gerard Houllier, Alex McLeish, Paul Lambert, Tim Sherwood, Remi Garde and now Di Matteo all coming and going in that time period.
Whilst they aren’t always 100% accurate in terms of predicting the future, looking at the bookmakers’ odds for the next permanent manager can be a good indication of who the club might look to appoint.
