# Steve Bruce is apparently lining up Villa transfers already

Steve Bruce is apparently working on a list of targets to bring to Aston Villa, despite not actually having the job as manager as of yet!

The bookmakers and pretty every member of the press in the Midlands seems sure that Bruce will be hired but there has been no official announcement thus far.

According to a report from Adrian Kajumba of [The Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/steve-bruce-already-lining-up-9019692), Bruce has already started looking at the Villa squad and has identified a few areas that he wants to strengthen.

He reportedly wants to bring in Ahmed Elmohammady from his former club Hull City.

Bruce is a big admirer of Elmohammady, having signed him twice in the past. He took him to Sunderland in 2010 and then to Hull in 2012 and he apparently wants to make it a hat-trick by bringing him to Villa Park in January, if he is given the manager’s job as expected.
