Predicted XI: Wolves (H)

Over the international break, Aston Villa made the bold call to sack Roberto Di Matteo after just 11 games in charge.

Despite winning the Champions League with Chelsea, Di Matteo was unable to inspire his Aston Villa side this season as they secured all three points on just one occasion.

Villa have replaced him with veteran manager Steve Bruce who takes charge of his first game at Villa Park this weekend against Wolves.

Bruce, who has experience of taking teams out of the Championship, most recently with Hull City who he left in the summer, will look to get Villa back into the mix for promotion.

This is a fresh start for Aston Villa, who sit in 19th place and just two points above the relegation zone, but as we know, a few wins on the bounce could see you back in the play-off race.

With that in mind, here’s our predicted Aston Villa team for the visit of Wolves.
