The international break is often looked down upon by football fans all over the country; however, there is no denying the fact that it came along at a very good time for Aston Villa.
It gave Dr. Xia two club football free weeks to find the right manager to replace Roberto Di Matteo.
On Wednesday, Steve Bruce was announced as the new Villa manager and it is safe to say that the majority of Villa fans are very happy with Dr. Xia’s choice.
Bruce has won promotion from the Championship on four occasions and Villa fans will be hoping that he can work his magic and get some wins in early so that Villa do not get cut adrift from a chance of promotion. As it stands, Villa are already 13 points off of automatic promotion and 10 points off of a play-off place.
Bruce’s first match in charge is a tricky Midlands derby at home against Wolves on Saturday evening (17.30 pm).
Wolves have had a decent start to the season with four wins, three draws and four losses. This means that at the moment they sit 7 places and 5 points above Villa in the table. Villa fans will be hoping that come the final whistle on Saturday evening that this will be cut to two points.
This will undoubtedly be a tricky game for Villa and this is the Wolves team that we think will line up against Villa on Saturday evening.
