October 2016 Awards – Aston Villa

Aston Villa ended October with a flurry of good form after a rocky start with an away defeat to Preston North End which saw manager Roberto Di Matteo lose his job at Villa Park.

The Villans went on a good vein of form after Di Matteo was sacked and Steve Bruce was appointed manager.

They picked up eight points from a possible 12 on offer in Bruce’s opening four games to see out October in a much better place than where they started.

We also have a poll running to find out who you believe is the player of the month. Find that on our homepage.
