# Rangers decalre interest in Aston Villa forward

Aston Villa forward Rushian Hepburn-Murphy has attracted the attention of Glasgow Rangers as the Scottish side continue to look to take the best young talent from England up to Scotland.

Having taken advantage of cross-border transfer regulations which allows them to acquire youngsters for smaller compensatory fees than English clubs, Rangers have already signed Jordan Rossiter, Joe Dodoo, Matt Crooks and Josh Windass and it looks like Hepburn-Murphy is their latest target.

As reported by the [Birmingham Mail](https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/rangers-interested-aston-villa-whizzkid-12117130), Villa have offered the 18-year-old a new contract but he’s yet to sign it, which has alerted numerous clubs, including Rangers.

If he doesn’t put pen to paper by January, he’ll be free to speak to other clubs and he could even sign a pre-contract agreement.

Villa have a number of strikers in their first-team squad already so the likelihood of Hepburn-Murphy breaking into Steve Bruce’s side in the immediate future look slim and that could be a huge factor in his decision whether to stay or leave.
