Villa seeking compensation over HS2 impact on training base

Villa seeking compensation over HS2 impact on training base

According to a recent report from the Birmingham Mail, Aston Villa could be ready to seek compensation due to the infamous HS2 railway line having an impact on the club’s training complex.

As a result of the proposed railway to go through Birmingham to London, plans show that the HS2 will need to pass through the Bodymoor Heath training ground, therefore impacting Aston Villa and their plans to train on a regular basis.

So, this means that Villa could look to seek compensation for the potential disruptions that will be caused by the £24.7 billion plans.

The report states that Villa are looking to launch a massive claim for compensation, as the club fears huge environmental effects on Bodymoor Heath’s surroundings and the noise that is expected to come about from the HS2.

However, The House of Lords Select Committee for the railway is reportedly in discussions with Villa about a conclusion.
