# New Three-Year Deal Laid Out for Talented Teenage Striker

According to the [Birmingham Mail](https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/rushian-hepburn-murphy-aston-villa-12344960), Aston Villa are waiting to see if Rushian Hepburn-Murphy will accept their latest contract offer. Bruce wants to keep the highly rated 18-year-old at Villa Park, and a well-rewarded three-year contract has been drawn up in order to tempt him to commit to the club.

Hepburn-Murphy, one of the brightest young prospects at Villa Park, made his debut for the senior side as a 16-year-old when he came on as a substitute in a 4-0 win over [Sunderland](https://readsunderland.com/) in March 2015. However, he has since find opportunities hard to come by and this has led to suggestions that he has been looking for a move away from the club in search of more game time.

As of yet, a breakthrough has not been achieved, but the early indications are that the young striker will eventually sign this new contract that Villa have laid out for him. Bruce will be hoping that the issue is resolved by the end of the month as he continues to plan ahead for life without Kodjia and Ayew in January. The pair leave to play in the African Cup of Nations which means that Hepburn-Murphy could see himself promoted into the senior side if he does enough to impress Bruce.

The prospect of more first team action could be enough to persuade the talented youngster to commit to Villa, that, at least, is what all those associated with Villa are hoping.
