Aston Villa continued their unbeaten record at home on Boxing Day with a hard fought 2-1 win over Burton Albion. It wasn’t the best performance ever, but, at the end of the day, all that matters at the moment is that we continue to pick up every 3 points available so that we can stay in the hunt for a play-off position.
Games come around thick and fast at this time of the year, and next up for Villa is a home game against Leeds United on Thursday 29th at 7.45pm. Leeds, who currently sit in 5th place, have been in great form of late having won 4 of their last 5 matches – this included a 2-0 win over Villa at Elland Road on the 3rd December. Villa were very poor in this match and they will be hoping that this time around they give a performance which is a truer reflection of the quality that they possess.
Here is our predicted Villa team to face Leeds on Thursday. Despite the fact that there is another game against Cardiff on Monday afternoon, we don’t expect Bruce to make that many rotations for this one.
