# Villa Keeping Tabs on League One Defender

According to the [Daily Star](https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/580239/Amari-i-Bell-Norwich-Brighton-Aston-Villa-Fleetwood),  Aston Villa are monitoring League One defender Amari’i Bell, following a string of fine performances this season for Fleetwood.

The 23-year-old left-back joined Fleetwood from Birmingham in 2015, and he has 18 months left on his contract. Villa, who recently let Cissokho go out on loan to Greek side Olympiacos, are severely limited at left-back at the moment, with Amavi being the only natural player in this position.

However, if Villa do decide to place a bid, they might not have it all their own way as Norwich and Brighton are also keeping an eye on him.

Bell has played every single minute of Fleetwood’s season so far, as they mount a promotion push. It is believed that he is happy where he is and is focused on helping Fleetwood earn a play-off place, but if a side from the Championship, especially one like Villa, were to put in an offer for him, it might be too hard to turn down.
