# Striker Closing in on Loan Move to Nottingham Forest

According to the [Birmingham Mail](https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/aston-villa-transfers-ross-mccormack-12536428), Aston Villa striker Ross McCormack is close to sealing a loan move away from Villa Park to Nottingham Forest.

The Scotland international was lambasted by Bruce after failing to turn up for training because his electronic gates were not working. As a result of his indiscipline, Bruce dropped him from the squad against Preston and he has been made to train with the development squad ever since. Bruce had told him that he would consider him until he apologised to the fans.

However, no apology came, and he is now expected to complete a last minute loan deal to the City Ground, where he will join fellow Villan, Aaron Tshibola, who is also on loan there until the end of the season.

Although this is technically a loan deal for McCormack, the striker has burnt all his bridges at Villa Park, and it is unlikely that the 30-year-old will be seen wearing the claret and blue again.
