Championship players Villa could sign this summer

A lot was made of Aston Villa’s January transfer window, as they began to adapt to life in the Championship.

Steve Bruce brought in plenty of new faces including the £15 million arrival of Scott Hogan from Brentford.

Conor Hourihane, Henri Lansbury, Sam Johnstone, Neil Taylor, Birkir Bjarnason and James Bree also joined the club.

The players have not had the immediate effect that the club would’ve hoped and Villa have been forced to look over their shoulder at a relegation battle this season.

The club have appeared to turn things around with their 1-0 home win against play-off hopefuls Derby County on Saturday.

With their first season in England’s second division not quite going to plan, plans for next season will surely be in the process.
