# Contract clause could force Villa target to remain at club

Aston Villa target Bright Osayi-Samuel is keen to leave Blackpool at the end of the season but could be forced to remain at Bloomfield Road due to a clause in his contract.

According to [All Nigeria Soccer](https://allnigeriasoccer.com/read_news.php?nid=22343), Osayi-Samuel is out of contract at the end of the season but the League Two side have the option to extend his current deal.

Osayi-Samuel is keen to move on from Blackpool, after catching the eyes of several Premier League and Championship sides already this season, including the lights of Tottenham and promotion chasing Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Tangerines currently sit three points outside of the play-offs in League Two as they look to turn a corner from their fall from grace out of the Premier League.

Blackpool may use their option to extend his contract for another year and then sell the player on for profit and not risk losing him for nothing at the end of the season.
