The Villa team that beat Chelsea 1-0: Where are they now?

On this very day back in 2014, Aston Villa recorded an important victory over high-flying Chelsea, seeing them off with a 1-0 win.

It was a result that lifted Villa back up into the top half of the Premier League table and it was one that shocked the footballing world, given Chelsea’s dominance throughout the course of the season so far.

The game was extremely close throughout but it burst into life in the remaining 30 minutes, with a special goal from Fabian Delph being enough to kill off the game.

Chelsea ended the match with just nine men too after Willian received his marching orders in the 68th minute for two bookings, and Ramires was given a straight red four minutes into stoppage time.

So, just what are the Villa players from that day up to at the moment? We’ve taken a look at what the 18-man matchday squad from the win are currently doing!
