Aston Villa and Jonathan Kodjia’s fantastic form continued against QPR on Tuesday evening.
It took Jonathan Kodjia, who has now scored 7 goals in his last 7 matches, just 5 minutes to find the net against Ian Holloway’s side and this was enough to clinch all three points. The rest of the match was, if we’re being perfectly honest, a pretty low-key affair, but Villa fans won’t care about that one bit as it keeps alive their slim hope of reaching the 6th and final play-off position. Although, they all know deep down that their team has left themselves too much to do. They also weren’t helped by the fact that the teams above them won too.
Villa’s next match is a derby match against Burton Albion on Saturday afternoon. This should be an entertaining match as Villa will be looking for three points that will keep them with a sniff of a play-off place, while Burton will be looking to drag themselves further away from the Relegation Zone – they are currently sitting in 19th place, 4 points above relegation.
