# Rory Hales leaves Aston Villa

Aston Villa midfielder Rory Hale has left the club, according to [the Birmingham Mail](https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/rory-hale-aston-villa-leave--12962277).

The report says that Hale has decided to quit Villa after four years at the club, and will now be looking for his next challenge.

The 20-year-old never made a first-team appearance for Villa, which is obviously the biggest factor in his decision to leave the club – having now come out of his teenage years.

Hale made 14 appearances in the league for Villa’s under-23 side and recently scored the winning goal against Wolves from the penalty spot.

The midfielder has also been called up to the Republic of Ireland under-21 squad during his time at Villa and will be looking for a move where he will be able to play regular first-team football.

No clubs have been mentioned as yet with regards to his next move, although Football League clubs are sure to be interested in the Irishman.
