# Predicted Villa XI: Brighton (H)

The Championship season is drawing to a close and Villa’s last match of the campaign is at home to Brighton on Sunday.

Brighton have already secured promotion to the Premier League, but they will be desperate to win this one as it would mean that they will have beaten Newcastle to the Championship title, albeit just by a solitary point (if Newcastle also win  their game against Barnsley of course).

Villa, on the other hand, have had nothing to play for for weeks now, and this has been reflected in their performances on the pitch; none more so than in the 1-0 defeat to Blackburn last Saturday. They were very poor from start to finish, leaving Bruce to declare, “we were absolutely hopeless. Hopeless.”

Here’s our predicted Villa XI for Sunday’s match at Villa Park. We are only expecting a couple of changes from the side that lost 1-0 to Blackburn on Saturday afternoon.
