# John Terry mulls over Aston Villa offer

John Terry is in no rush to make a decision about his future as the English defender considers the bid made for him by Aston Villa, according to a report on [HITC](https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2017/06/23/report-john-terry-in-no-rush-to-decide-on-aston-villa-offer/).

The defender made the decision to leave Premier League Champions Chelsea at the end of last season and has been in demand since the transfer window opened, with Championship club Aston Villa making a bid for the centre-back.

Terry could see himself earning £60,000-a-week at Villa Park as the Championship club look to do everything they can to lure him to the club.

Terry will definitely be looking for a challenge and with Villa aiming for promotion, it could be the challenge that he relishes. Terry will add enormous experience in defence for Steve Bruce’s men and will give the side a solid base to work around.

The [Express and Star](https://www.expressandstar.com/sport/football/aston-villa/2017/06/23/aston-villa-acknowledge-patience-will-be-key-in-john-terry-pursuit/) report that it could be two weeks until Villa hear anything back from the 36-year-old so the club will need to remain patient.

Terry is in an unfamiliar position of choosing which team to sign for as majority of his career has been at Stamford Bridge where he has never wanted to leave.

But now Terry has a decision to make and he doesn’t want to rush into anything so he is carefully considering what is best for himself in these last few years of his career.
