John Terry’s arrival a sign of things to come at Aston Villa?

Aston Villa completed what will probably be one of the biggest coups any Championship club will make this summer with the signing of John Terry after his release from Chelsea.

The former England captain has had an illustrious two-decade spell at Stamford Bridge and now joins Steve Bruce at Villa Park to help fire the Villans back into the Premier League.

With the transfer budget believed to be tight and reliant upon outgoings to supplement the funds, Bruce needed to be astute in the market and the free transfer arrival of Terry is one that has earned rave reviews from many.

Now that Terry is through the Villa Park doors, they’ve only gone and cemented their status as one of the favourites to win the Championship and return to the Premier League, and you can check out these betting promotions on the odds for Villa to secure promotion.

No doubt that Steve Bruce will still be looking to add to his squad this summer with a number of fringe players set to leave the club.

The likes of Jordan Veretout, Alan Hutton, Jordan Amavi and Carles Gil are all being linked with moves away from Villa Park which will help boost the transfer kitty.

Villa failed to live up to expectations last season but now that Bruce will get a full pre-season to work with his players, they should mount a stronger challenge and if Terry is a sign of things to come in the transfer market, then Villa will be fighting at the right end of the table come May.
