# Young Villa striker set to return to action this week

According to the [Birmingham Mail](https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/team-news-look-whos-back-13377804), Aston Villa youngster Rushian Hepburn-Murphy will return to action this week after a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

The talented teenager has missed most of the pre-season action because of a hamstring injury. But he is now fit again, and he should make his return to the field when Villa u23s take on Queens Park Rangers on Tuesday afternoon.

After this friendly at Bodymoor Heath, which kicks off at 13.30 pm behind closed doors, Villa’s development team will take on Tamworth on the 28th July at 7.30 pm. Hepburn-Murphy will hope to play some part in this one too.

Steve Bruce will be happy to see the youngster back in contention having used him a few times in the first-team last season. The striker pledged the next three years to Villa when he signed a new deal back in February, and he will be hoping to get a lot more game time this season.

With McCormack looking like he will be loaned out, there’s now space for another striker to make his mark this season.
