# Villa player ratings: Norwich (H)

Aston Villa got their campaign back on track with an encouraging 4-2 victory over Norwich City at Villa Park on Saturday afternoon.

The home side started off extremely brightly and could have been ahead with only a few minutes on the clock when youngster Keinan Davis found himself the beneficiary of a poor pass back. However, his shot was well smothered by the Norwich keeper.

Villa were playing some good football, and they were putting a lot of pressure on Norwich, and this pressure finally told when a pinpoint Davis cross in the 22nd minute was tapped home by Conor Hourihane.

Villa continued to play scintillating football, and they doubled their lead in the 42nd minute when Green curled one into the top right corner from 18 yards.

Villa started the second half just how they ended the first, and they were unlucky not to go further ahead when Chester failed to convert a header from close range.

This looked like it could prove costly when Norwich pulled a goal back with 60 minutes gone. However, 8 minutes later, Hourihane settled the home fans’ nerves a bit when his 25-yard strike took a deflection and ended up in the top corner of the goal.

But, there was to be more drama, when Norwich substitute Oliveira scored in the 79th minute, just 5 minutes after coming off the bench.

This set up a nervy final 10 minutes, but Hourihane had the last say in the 85th minute when he fired in a shot from outside the box.
