Diame has failed to break into the Newcastle team this season and could be allowed to leave if the club receive a suitable offer from Villa in January.

The midfielder has played less than 200 minutes of football this season and is looking for more regular game time – in the Championship with [Aston Villa](https://readastonvilla.com/).

The Senegal international joined the club in 2016 from Hull and has played 49 times for the club – scoring six goals in that time.
