# Aston Villa awaiting response in Tuanzebe chase

Aston Villa are yet to hear back from Manchester United following their attempts to sign Axel Tuanzebe on loan, according to the [Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/manchester-united-considering-aston-villas-11841461).

It’s claimed that the Villains want to recruit the promising defender on loan until the end of the season as Steve Bruce’s men aim to push for a strong end to the season.

However, United are yet to respond to Villa about their approach and the Championship outfit are said to be growing increasingly concerned that a deal may not be struck.

Tuanzebe is held in high esteem at Old Trafford but has not been featuring frequently under Jose Mourinho at Manchester United. A loan move away for the defender could lead him to valuable first-team experience.

The 20-year-old is a central defender by trade but has also featured at right-back before. Tuanzebe has performed well when called upon in United’s first side and it seems Villa are anxious to recruit him.
