# Villa player ratings: Ipswich (A)

Villa got back to winning ways on the road thanks to a 4-0 drubbing of Ipswich Town at Portman Road.

This was an important victory for Villa, not because it keeps a tiny bit of pressure on Cardiff and Fulham, but because it has reminded them that they can win away from home after three consecutive poor results.

Villa were the better team by miles, and they took the lead in the 25th minute when Conor Hourihane took advantage of some good fortune to tap home from 6 yards out.

Ipswich were struggling, and things got a lot harder for them when Grant Ward was shown a straight red for a horrendous high tackle on Neil Taylor. The game was pretty much over as a contest when Grabban scored a fine goal 12 minutes into the second-half.

Another goal by Grabban in the 78th minute and Lansbury in the 82nd minute put the icing on the proverbial cake for the away side.

Here are our Villa player ratings for tonight’s victory over Ipswich.
