# Spurs outline plan for Grealish’s development but Villa standing firm

Tottenham want to sign Jack Grealish to provide competition for England star Dele Alli, according to the [Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/transfer-news-live-manchester-liverpool-12702686).

Spurs have reportedly lodged a £15 million bid for the player, but the report claims that Villa will hold out for £30 million.

Chelsea were also thought to be interested in the player, but some reports suggested that he could return on loan.

Mauricio Pochettino is said to see Grealish as a player that will be able to make an impact in Spurs’ first-team squad.

Spurs are looking to improve their squad depth as they look to build upon another successful Premier League campaign.

Villa are in need of extra income over the summer and are being forced to sell their key assets.

Grealish is expected to leave Villa Park, but the club are keen to hold out for as much money as possible.
