# Villa anxious about missing out on Tammy Abraham

Aston Villa are worried that they may miss out on a deal to sign Tammy Abraham on loan.

[The Guardian reports](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2018/aug/20/football-transfer-rumours-ruben-neves-next-to-join-manchester-city) that the player could favour a move abroad, with both Serie A and the Eredivisie in his sights.

Abraham looks set for another loan spell away from Chelsea after he was not named in the squad to face Arsenal on Saturday night.

Maurizio Sarri has been keen to back Alvaro Morata as Chelsea’s first-choice striker, while Olivier Giroud will provide competition for the former Real Madrid striker.

Villa have been heavily linked with a move for the former Swansea City loanee as they go in search of extra firepower in the final third.

Abraham enjoyed a free-scoring spell in the Championship with Bristol City before a mixed time on loan at Swansea City in his first top-flight season.

Steve Bruce has been very vocal about his desire to dip into the loan market and it appears the club’s transfer business is not finished just yet.
