# Terry hints at Villa return on social media

Former Chelsea and Aston Villa defender John Terry has reportedly dropped a hint on social media that he could return to the club.

[Birmingham Live report](https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/aston-villa-transfer-news-live-15104825) that Terry has hinted on Instagram that a return to Villa Park is not out of the question after he left the club over the summer.

Terry’s contract expired at the end of last season and at the time it was believed that the club would not have been able to afford his wages due to the financial worries off the pitch.

However, the change of ownership at the club could change matters for both Terry and manager Steve Bruce.

The former Chelsea defender, who quickly became a favourite among the Villa fans, has confirmed he is yet to make a decision on his future and still has sights on another season playing.

However, Terry is also one of the names being mentioned as a possible replacement for Bruce should he leave the club before the end of the season.
