# Villa outcast set for a return Down Under

According to a report in the [Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-6136667/Ross-McCormack-set-join-Usain-Bolt-Central-Coast-Mariners.html), Aston Villa outcast Ross McCormack is set for another loan spell Down Under in the A-League.

The 32-year-old Scot was sent out on loan to Melbourne City from September 2017 to January 2018, and during his time there he managed to bag 14 goals in just 16 appearances, despite not being fully fit.

Now it looks highly likely that he will sign for Central Coast Mariners in the coming days.

McCormack has the talent to score goals in the Championship, but his massive falling out with Bruce means that his Villa career is dead in the water.

There were a number of Championship teams who showed some interest in signing the 13-capped Scotland international, but no moves were finalised.

If the move goes through as expected and he signs for Central Coast Mariners, McCormack could find himself playing alongside Usain Bolt, who has been taken on an indefinite trial.
