Scott Hogan and Keinan Davis still not fit for selection

Aston Villa are set to be without Scott Hogan for another couple of weeks after Steve Bruce revealed that he is not yet fit enough to warrant selection.

Hogan is back in training but, having been out for such a long time, Bruce feels that Villa need to be careful not to rush the former Brentford man.

Speaking ahead of Villa’s home clash against Rotherham, Bruce said:

He’s had a serious injury Scotty. He’s trained for the last 10-12 days, so it’s still a little bit early for him but he’s going to be there or thereabouts shortly.

The Villa boss also spoke about Keinan Davis, who is out with a groin injury, and by the sound of the manager’s comments, he’s still a while away from being fit again.

He said:

Keinan’s [issue] is still ongoing, unfortunately.

Villa, having taken Tammy Abraham on loan from Chelsea, should have enough strength in depth to cope without the injured duo for a bit longer, but Bruce will want them both fit as soon as possible.
