Aston Villa take on Bristol City at Ashton Gate on Friday night and Bruce will be well aware that another loss could spell the end of his time at Villa Park.
Bruce’s side sit just three points outside the play-off places, so it’s not as disastrous a start as some Villa fans would have you believe. However, with each passing poor display and result, more and more fans are becoming disgruntled and Villa’s new owners will soon have a decision to make – “Do we keep Bruce or do we keep the fans happy and on our side?”
In the last two matches, Bruce set his players up in a 4-4-2 formation, but while it worked against Rotherham, it failed against Sheffield Wednesday who are a better footballing side than the Millers, so we think he will revert back to the 4-1-4-1 formation he has used for most of the season.
