# Bruce must win one of Villa’s next two to save his job

Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce must win at least one of the club’s next two games to keep himself in a job, [according to a report from the Telegraph](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2018/10/01/steve-bruce-facing-two-games-save-aston-villa-job/).

John Percy reports that pressure is mounting on the Villa boss after the club’s poor start to the season.

Villa are heading into crunch games against Preston and Millwall that could go a long way to defining the club’s season.

Bruce’s side have won just two games in their previous 10 across all competitions and frustrations are beginning to mount among supporters.

Despite the poor run of form and registering just three wins this season in the Championship, Villa only sit two points outside of the play-offs positions at this early stage.

A host of names including Dean Smith, Thierry Henry, John Terry and Andrea Stamaccioni have already been reported as potential candidates to replace the former Hull City boss.
