Aston Villa have had a tough run of fixtures over the last month or so, and it isn’t about to get any easier this weekend as they welcome Leeds United to Villa Park on Sunday afternoon.
The Yorkshire-based team are currently sitting at the top of the table, so Villa will have to be at their absolute best if they are to get anything from this match. In fact, Dean Smith will know that failure to turn up will more than likely end in a pretty embarrassing defeat.
Leeds have only conceded 18 goals in their 22 matches this season, but they are coming up against a Smith side that have scored 23 goals in the 10 games that he has been in charge of.
Therefore, Leeds will be equally wary of the threat that Villa’s attacking players pose. They will know that they will have to be spot on defensively in order to prevent Villa from finding the net.
This promises to be some game, that’s for sure.
