Aston Villa had to come from behind against QPR at Villa Park and settle for yet another draw.

This means that they have lost just one game in their last eleven, but they have drawn six of those, meaning that they are steadily losing ground on the top 6. They now find themselves five points adrift of a play-off place.

The home side had the better of the first 45 minutes, and deservedly took the lead in the 21st minute when Tammy Abraham headed home a nice cross from John McGinn.

It looked like they would go in at the break with a one goal advantage, but a fantastic long range effort by Luke Freeman in the 41st minute put paid to that.

QPR started the second-half on the front foot and they took the lead in the 57th minute when Ebere Eze finished off a neat move. However, Villa grew into the half, and they were back on level terms when Abraham got his second of the match in the 75th minute.

Due to an injury to QPR’s keeper, there was 11 minutes of injury time, but neither side could find a winner.
