Aston Villa’s FA Cup run lasted all of one game as they were easily beaten by Swansea at Villa Park.
Villa fans are more than used to seeing poor performances from their side, but this one was up there with the worst of them. In fact, the quality from the home side was that poor that you could have been forgiven for thinking you were watching a Sunday League team with Steve Bruce in charge.
Dean Smith’s men came close to scoring with less than a minute on the clock, and that was to be the closest they would come to finding the net all game. That’s how bad a performance it truly was.
In fact, if truth be told, Dean Smith’s side was probably lucky to leave the grounds with just a 3-0 defeat to their name.
Anyway, Smith will probably brush this defeat under the carpet as promotion to the Premier League is his main aim.
Here are our player ratings for this afternoon’s horror show against Swansea.
