Aston Villa’s fantastic winning running continued on Monday afternoon thanks to a 1-0 victory over Millwall at Villa Park.

Millwall set out to defend, hoping that they could somehow take a point with them back to London, but they couldn’t hold out longer than thirty minutes – to be honest, with the form Villa are in, this was probably longer than most would have predicted.

Some neat build-up play involving McGinn, Grealish, and El Ghazi picked holes in the Millwall defence and Kodjia was there to turn the ball home.

The second-half was a somewhat nervy affair as Villa could just not find that second goal that would have killed the game off. However, they held on to ensure that club history was made.
