Who was your Villa MOTM against West Brom?

Aston Villa made it to the Championship play-off final for the second year in a row thanks to a nervy penalty shootout win over local rivals West Brom at The Hawthorns.

Villa can count themselves pretty lucky to be going to Wembley on the 27th May as it was a performance that was full of uncharacteristic errors and nerves. However, with what is at stake, that is pretty understandable.

Albion, who were trailing 2-1 from the first leg at Villa Park on Saturday, levelled the tie when Craig Dawson got on the end of a Mason Holgate long throw and saw the ball trickle in off the post.

Villa were under the pump for most of the game, but the tide turned in their favour when Chris Brunt saw a second yellow in the 80th minute.

As soon as they went down to ten men, West Brom adapted a defensive formation and aimed to take the game to penalties. They managed to do that by shutting Villa out for 40 minutes, but they came across an inspired Jed Steer, who saved their first two penalties.

We’re now asking you to vote for your MOTM, using our ‘winner stays on’ style duel below to decide.
