# Villa need to make a quick decision on Hause

After Kortney Hause helped Aston Villa secure promotion through the play-offs, [reports on the Express and Star](https://www.expressandstar.com/sport/football/aston-villa/2019/06/05/aston-villa-face-decision-on-move-for-wolves-defender-kortney-hause-as-deadline-looms/) claim that Villa have until Thursday to sign the defender from Wolves permanently.

As per the agreement of the original loan deal, Villa have the option to sign him for £3 million, but time is running out for Dean Smith’s side to make their move.

Since Nuno Espirito Santo took over at Wolves, Hause struggled to nail down a place at Molineux.

Yet after being on loan with Villa since January, he played almost every match for the club until he suffered a hip injury which saw him miss numerous games before returning for the play-off final against Frank Lampard’s Derby County.

Hause was a key player for Smith during the second half of the season, along with Tyrone Mings, he has been a very strong character in defence and helped Aston Villa’s final push which landed them a place in the play-offs.
