# Factfile: Who is Villa target Marvelous Nakamba?

Aston Villa are being touted with a move to sign Club Brugge midfielder Marvelous Nakamba.

[Reports](https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/aston-villa-really-want-marvelous-16451597) are claiming that Villa manager Dean Smith is a fan of Nakamba and wants to add him to his squad this summer.

Villa will be playing Premier League football once again next season after a three-year absence from the top-flight.

Following their relegation from the Premier League in the 2015/16, Villa spent three years in the second division.

Smith led Villa to a 5th place finish in the Championship before securing promotion via the play-offs – beating Derby County 2-1 in the final at Wembley last month.

Since their promotion, Villa have already signed Anwar El Ghazi, Wesley, Kortney Hause and Jota all on permanent deals – with Wesley also coming from Nakamba’s current club – Brugge.

But who is Nakamba? Here is a factfile with everything you need to know about the midfielder linked with a move to Villa Park.
