Fullbacks Villa could look sign this summer

Aston Villa have already made a quick start to the transfer window following their promotion to the Premier League.

The 2018/19 season only ended last month, but Villa have moved quickly to sign Anwar El Ghazi, Kortney Hause, Jota and Wesley on permanent deals – with the former two having been at the club on loan last term. 

Villa secured promotion back to the top-flight after three years in the second tier by beating Derby County 2-1 in the play-off final at Wembley last month.

Dean Smith led his side to a 5th-place finish in the Championship, before beating local rivals West Brom in the semi-finals and Derby in the final.

Despite already making a number of signings, Villa’s squad still needs strengthening before a ball is kicked in August.
