# Aston Villa fans react as Dean Smith reveals key omissions for Bournemouth clash

Aston Villa will be without several players for the visit of Bournemouth this weekend.

Speaking ahead of the clash with the Cherries, Dean Smith revealed that his side will be without James Chester, Kortney Hause and striker Jonathan Kodjia.

Kodjia has been linked with a move to Besiktas as of late, but Dean Smith also denied that any bids have been received for the striker, and that Villa do not intend to sell.

Several Villa fans reacted to the news on social media.

Ste realises that the news will mean Keinan Davis will be on the bench for Villa.

Brian believes that Kodjia being unavailable means that he will be leaving Aston Villa.

Kane believes situations like this are exactly why Villa needed another striker in the window.

@CAU80SER believes Villa should get one of their icons back to fill the gap up front.

### Read ASton Villa’s verdict

This is certainly an issue for Villa’s depth chart.

Keinan Davis may have promise, but he is really unproven at this level.

Wesley getting injured would now be the worst-case scenario for Villa, and shows they really need to bring in another striker soon.

Maybe Daniel Sturridge is that man, but at this point, anyone would do for Dean Smith really.
