# Villa fans react as Tom Heaton impresses in England training

England and Aston Villa fans are loving Tom Heaton after the goalkeeper showed off some impressive skills in training ahead of the Three Lions European qualifiers this week.

Heaton, [in a video posted to the England Twitter account](https://twitter.com/England/status/1168637880731865088?s=20), shows off his goalkeeping abilities by stopping both Raheem Sterling and Marcus Rashford from scoring in training, pulling over three world-class saves.

Several fans have reacted to the sensational saves on Twitter, with many calling for Heaton to be given a bigger role within the England setup.

[@Mxginn](https://twitter.com/Mxginn/status/1168638523152490497) tweets: “Hope he gets a game” with Heaton still behind Jordan Pickford in the England depth chart in goal.

[@AndySG1983](https://twitter.com/AndySG1983/status/1168640990086868993) jokes that it was only Man United’s Marcus Rashford shooting at him, saying that “To be fair, it was Rashford shooting at him…”

If you want to know why Aston Villa signed Tom Heaton, then just look here.

The goalkeeper here is just keeping out two of England’s best forwards, and showing that he has some quite sensational reflexes.

If Heaton isn’t in contention to beat out Jordan Pickford as England number one, then Gareth Southgate should really be looking at some of Heaton’s saves for Villa this season.
