Jack Grealish has claimed that Leeds United fans “don’t like him” in an interview with The Athletic.
The Villa midfielder, who was discussing some of his best goals in his career, revealed that he hated travelling to Elland Road for the vital clash last season, and that Leeds midfielder Kalvin Phillips told him all he wanted to do was stop Grealish.
Grealish said:
He (Kalvin Phillips) told me after the game that all he wanted to do was stop me. It doesn’t bother me.
I actually like getting kicked. But, to be honest, I hated that Leeds game. For some reason the fans hate me up there.
Leeds fans reacted to the player’s comments on social media, with many not being bothered by what Grealish had to say.

It’s easy to see why Grealish said these things about the trip to Elland Road, especially after what was a tough game for both sides.
I don’t think the controversy will ever stop after what was a firery 90 minutes of football.
However, I don’t think Grealish has made himself very popular with the Leeds United faithful after these comments.
