Villa player ratings: West Ham (H)

Aston Villa picked up another Premier League point on Monday evening after a 0-0 draw with West Ham at Villa Park.

Out of the two managers, it is Dean Smith who will be the most disappointed with just a point as his side had the better chances throughout the game.

In fact, Tom Heaton had just one save to make throughout the whole game and that was a speculative effort from outside the box that was straight down his throat.

West Ham also played the best part of 30 minutes with a man down after Masuaku was shown a second yellow card for a trip on Elmohamady. However, Villa were sloppy and indecisive in front of goal and Grealish missed a great opportunity near the end to earn his side a vital three points.

Overall, a point apiece was probably a fair result.
