Aston Villa added another point to their Premier League tally on Monday evening when they drew 0-0 with West Ham at Villa Park.
However, if they weren’t so wasteful in front of goal, they could have seen themselves picking up all three points.
Villa had the best chances of the game, especially when Grealish found himself unmarked in front of goal with just minutes remaining.
West Ham, on the other hand, rarely troubled Tom Heaton in the Villa goal, but it will definitely be a different story on Sunday evening as Dean Smith and his men travel to London to take on Arsenal at the Emirates.
Arsenal’s defence has been leaky so far this season, having conceded eight goals in five games, so Villa fans will be hoping that they don’t get their act together before the game on Sunday.
Here is our predicted Villa XI for Sunday’s match against Arsenal.
GK: Tom Heaton
Will start every single one of Villa’s Premier League games this season, unless he is injured of course.
RB: Frederic Guilbert
Had another very solid game against West Ham and has made the right-back spot his own.
CB: Tyrone Mings
Mings was like a brick wall on Monday evening and will definitely start on Sunday.
CB: Bjorn Engels
Has been playing just as well as Mings and will certainly start against Arsenal.
LB: Neil Taylor
Taylor gets a lot of stick, but he has been very solid at left-back this season. We expect him to start at the weekend.
Jota was really poor against West Ham, but we reckon he will be given another chance on Sunday.
CM: Marvelous Nakamba
Was a bit nervous in the first-half against West Ham, but he showed his ability in the second. As a result, we reckon Smith will start him on Sunday.
CM: John McGinn
McGinn is Villa’s engine, so there’s no way he will be dropped for Sunday.
CM: Jack Grealish
Grealish has been getting stick from Villa fans for his performances, with some calling for him to be dropped. However, we don’t see Smith dropping his captain.
Was suspended for Monday’s game and since El Ghazi was so poor, we expect to see Trezeguet start in his stead.
ST: Wesley Moraes
Has been ineffective in a few games this season, but he isn’t getting the service that he needs. Will definitely be leading the line on Sunday.
