Aston Villa fans react to Carabao Cup draw as Wolves await

Aston Villa have been rewarded for their 3-1 win over Brighton with a last-16 clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Carabao Cup.

Villa secured a 3-1 win on the South Coast, whilst Wolves had to go to penalties to beat Championship side Reading.

The clash will be the first time since Villa beat Wolves 4-1 during the 2017/18 season when Wolves secured promotion to the Premier League whilst Villa suffered defeat in the playoff final.

Several Aston Villa fans took to Twitter to show their excitement for the clash with Wolves.

It will be a huge clash for Villa, in what could be a big week for the club.

Wolves will be looking for revenge for Villa’s win in the Championship two seasons ago, as both sides look to progress in the League Cup.

Success in the cups won’t be on the top of Villa’s agendas this season, but I don’t think any fans would mind if they were to reach the final.

matchday.
