Strikers Villa could sign to replace Wesley

Aston Villa have been hit with a huge injury crisis in the last few weeks and it is threatening to derail their Premier League season.

The club are currently one point and one place above the bottom three as it stands, after winning their last game 2-1 against Burnley. In that match, however, Wesley and Tom Heaton were both stretchered off with injuries.

It has now been confirmed that they will both miss the rest of the campaign with serious knee injuries, which adds to John McGinn’s long-term injury as well. This leaves Villa exposed in a number of positions heading into the second-half of the season.

However, the January transfer window is open and it does feel as though Villa need to make moves in order to have a fighting chance of staying in the division.

But, who could they sign to replace Wesley? Here are some of our picks…

matchday.
