Villa fans react to signing of Reina on loan
Aston Villa have officially confirmed the signing of AC Milan goalkeeper Pepe Reina on loan for the rest of the season.
Reina, who was the second choice behind Gianluigi Donnarumma at Milan, comes in to replace the injured Tom Heaton at Villa Park.

READ ASTON VILLA VERDICT
These Villa fans appear to be upset by the club opting to go out and sign Reina, due to Orjan Nyland’s form since Heaton suffered his injury. In his three Premier League appearances this season, Nyland has recorded a WhoScored rating of 5.93, whilst Reina managed a rating of 6.45 in two Serie A starts.
This suggests that Reina would be a slight improvement on the current Villa shot-stopper, who started in the 6-1 defeat to Manchester City at the weekend. When you consider that Reina is also eight years older than Nyland, at 37, you could see why some Villa fans may be frustrated by his arrival – as it has the potential to stunt the progress of Nyland.
