Villa fans react to news that Birmingham are set to sign Hogan

Birmingham City look set to sign Aston Villa striker Scott Hogan on loan for the rest of the season.

And the news has gone down a treat with several Villa supporters.

According to the Telegraph’s John Percy, Hogan, who has spent the first half of the season on loan at Stoke City, will make the short trip from Villa Park to St Andrew’s for the second half of the campaign.

The 27-year-old has only featured in 428 minutes of Championship action this season and has been absent from the last seven matchday squads for the Potters.

However, it looks as if he’ll get the chance to impress Pep Clotet over the next four months.

Hogan, who joined Villa from Brentford three years ago in a £12 million deal, has only managed seven goals in 57 second-tier appearances for Villa and doesn’t appear to be in Dean Smith’s first-team plans.

And when Percy shared the news on Monday evening, these Villa fans were quick to give their views.

Many couldn’t help but laugh…
